Our story
A small roaster with a big thermos.
Harbor Bean began with a used sample roaster and a pile of green coffee in a Ballard garage. Friends kept asking for bags, so we started selling at the Market on weekends.
Today we roast in a small production space near the waterfront. We are a team of four, and we still pack every bag by hand.
What we care about
- Roasting coffee that tastes like the place it grew.
- Paying a fair price to the people who grow it.
- Using recyclable packaging and compostable filters.
